Tideward Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Tideward Command is a slower, thinky strategy game about running a chain of harbor towns. You balance shipbuilding, supply routes and the weather, which genuinely wrecks plans if you ignore it. A storm rolling in can strand a fleet you needed three turns from now.
There's no rushing here, and I mean that as a compliment. The satisfaction comes from setting up a supply network that runs itself, then watching it survive a bad season. The UI takes a little learning, but once it clicks the map reads clearly.
It's more of a lean-back, plan-a-few-turns game than a twitchy one. Perfect for evenings when you want to think rather than react.
What we liked
- Weather that genuinely reshapes strategy
- Satisfying long-term supply planning
- No aggressive timers or forced grind
